More packages than ever before are now being shipped – on any single day, a staggering 85 million packages and documents are delivered around the world . Logistics is a diverse industry encompassing everything from air freight to container shipping, last-mile courier delivery to port operators. But when it comes to adoption of digital technologies, it has been slow. Analysis by the World Economic Forum and Accenture indicate that digital transformation can drive US$1.5 trillion of value for the logistics industry by 2025 .
