Step 1
In an age of borderless networks, security for the cloud and security for the corporate network can no longer be separated. And as Cloud Service Providers continue to bolster their defenses, cyber-criminals are increasingly targeting the weak link in the cloud’s Shared Responsibility Model: you. In fact, Gartner estimates that at least 99% of cloud security failures will have occurred along the customer’s interface with the cloud through 2023.
In light of the vulnerabilities exposed by relaying valuable information to remote servers, businesses must now defend an attack surface that extends far beyond their on-prem devices, a task further complicated by malicious insiders who are familiar with the systems they manipulate. Indeed, cases of insider data exfiltration that victimize supposedly airtight networks — including the 2018 Tesla insider sabotage incident — demonstrate the necessity for a fundamentally novel approach to security, one that doesn’t simply protect perimeters that become less defined by the day. That new approach to security is cyber AI.
Pioneering cyber AI security systems offer real-time visibility and early threat detection in all parts of cloud and hybrid networks, regardless of their configurations and physical locations. By continuously learning normal and abnormal behaviour ‘on the job,’ cyber AI tools can detect threats as they arise, while AI-powered autonomous response can neutralize these threats in seconds. Cyber-attacks have unfortunately become a fact of life for all modern businesses, but with self-learning cyber AI, data stored in the cloud can weather the storm.
