Marlabs Appraised at Maturity Level 5 of CMMI V2.0 Model

Marlabs has been recently appraised at Level 5, the highest maturity level of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®. Being awarded CMMI V2.0 for both– Development and Services has put Marlabs in a very elite list of organisations globally as there are not many who have been recognised under the V2.0 of the model. The large-scale appraisal involved 12 projects and 5 functions across the organisation.

CMMI is a performance enhancement model consisting of collected best practices that guide organizations to improve key capabilities and elevate performance. CMMI’s five maturity levels provide IT organizations with a clear path for improvement. An appraisal at maturity Level 5 indicates that an organization is performing at an ‘optimizing’ level, continually improving its processes based on a quantitative understanding of its business objectives and performance needs, and continuously evolving to adapt to changing stakeholder and customer needs.

This rating validates Marlabs’ ability to execute high quality, complex digital transformation programs for clients on-time and within budget, and to help them realize desired returns from their technology investments. There are many other benefits of being accorded this certification that enable senior leadership to execute more rigid governance over project milestones, allow clients the assurance of best-in-class business delivery in a safe and secure manner as well as an elevated ability of the delivery teams to exercise enhanced control and guidance on agile and new lifecycle models.

In addition, CMMI V2.0 also allows Marlabs to:

  • Manage business resilience – Envisage, anticipate, and adapt to disruptions and opportunities impacting business
  • Build and sustain capability – Strategize to build and sustain business process and technology efficiency for performance
  • Improve performance – Establish business goals in alignment to organizational needs and track them
  • Ensure quality – Individuals, teams and organisations to define and maintain superior standard of deliverables for customer and business

“The CMMI level 5 rating is a strategic milestone in our journey to become a chosen digital partner to Fortune 2000 organisations. The best practices from the CMMI model will enable Marlabs develop strong IPs and platforms enabling us to predictably execute digital transformation programs using varied methodologies – agile, waterfall, iterative. This rating is a validation of our efforts to establish a strong foundation of processes that balance speed and precision, and enable us to predictably exceed our clients’ business transformation milestones to deliver superior business outcomes” – Madhavan Satagopan, President – Digital Transformation, Strategy & Innovation.

In addition, Ravi Dekate, the Chief Delivery Officer further elaborated “During the appraisal, our team saw models developed from statistical analysis of historical data to empower our teams to excel in predicting effort, schedule, and product quality. This capability means commitments to our clients are accurate and dependable, further accelerating our status as a high maturity organisation committed to client delight.”
