Global Service Provider Moves Up on Prestigious List with Three-Year Sales Growth of 431 Percent

EDISON, N.J. (November 7, 2005) – Marlabs, a global full-service provider of application development, managed and consulting services, today announced that the company received a ranking of 294, with three-year sales growth of 431 percent, on Inc. magazine’s 24th annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. The Inc. 500 can be found in the November issue, which is now available on newsstands.

This is the fourth consecutive year Marlabs has been featured on the Inc. 500, and has moved up from its ranking of 336 in 2004. Marlabs is a full-service provider of IT services specializing in application development and systems integration, business intelligence and knowledge management frameworks, managed services such as application hosting and management, and professional services. Since the company’s inception in 1996, Marlabs has developed a unique niche serving industries and organizations that are late adopters of technology.

Marlabs’ CEO Siby Vadakekkara stated, “It is a great honor to be recognized by Inc. magazine for the fourth year in a row. Over the past four years, we have received great reception from our clients and added an impressive number of new customers due to the continuous investment we make to ensure our solution and service offerings meet and exceed their business-critical technology needs. While 2005 is proving to be another outstanding year for Marlabs, it is also because of the persistent hard work and dedication of our talented team that Marlabs continues to experience such tremendous growth year after year.”

Utilizing its proprietary application development methodology, the company has implemented more than 1,000 software development projects for over 500 clients, including the creation of customized solutions and products for some of the world’s leading organizations. With a continued focus on research and development, coupled with proven methodologies, Marlabs empowers its customers through technology solutions to outsmart and outsell the competition.

Jim Melloan, project manager for the Inc. 500, commented, “With unprecedented global competition, companies have to be able to turn on a dime and discover innovative new ways of doing business. Increasingly, it’s the smaller, agile companies like those on the Inc. 500 that are best equipped to meet these challenges.”

The Inc. 500 ranks privately held companies according to year-over-year sales growth from 2001 to 2004. With approximately 75 percent of all new job creation in the U.S. coming from entrepreneurial businesses, the Inc. 500 opens a window onto the companies and industries that are driving the economy forward.

Methodology

To be eligible for this year’s Inc. 500, companies had to be U.S.-based, independent and privately held through their fiscal year 2004, and have had at least $500,000 in net sales in the base year of 2001. In addition, their 2004 sales had to exceed 2003 sales. Companies are ranked on cumulative three-year sales growth from 2001 to 2004. Inc. verifies all information using tax forms and audited financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials.
