CEO of Marlabs Named Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2006 Award
EDISON, N.J. (June TBD, 2006) – Marlabs, a global full service provider of application development, managed and consulting services, today announced that CEO Siby Vadakekkara was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2006 Awards in New Jersey by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP.
Marlabs’ CEO was selected as a finalist for the second straight year by a panel of independent judges comprised of area leaders from the business and academic communities, as well as representatives from the 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year New Jersey finalists and awards recipients. Winners will be announced in 10 award categories at an awards banquet on June 22, 2006 at the Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, N.J.
Vadakekkara has been CEO of Marlabs since he co-founded the company in 1996. During his tenure, Marlabs has been profitable every year since inception, seeing an annual growth rate of more than 100 percent. The company has implemented more than 1,000 software development projects for over 500 clients, and has expanded to five regional offices and four development centers, including a global development center in India, with more than 800 employees worldwide. The company’s sales and marketing network extends across the United States, United Kingdom, India and into Europe and Asia through partnerships and alliances.
New Jersey winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 national awards. More than 200 winners will be recognized at 26 regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award galas throughout the U.S. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., in November 2006.
