Marlabs Launches MCOCentral: Hosted Solution Suite for Managed Care Organizations and Third Party Administrators

EDISON, N.J. (July 7, 2004) - Marlabs, a global full service provider of application development, managed services, and consulting, today announced details of its new product for managed care organizations (MCO) and third party administrators (TPA). Known as MCOCentral, the Web-based system has been designed to automate the complex, data intensive workers compensation claims management process. Delivered via an ASP service, its usage-based pricing model means MCOs do not need to make upfront investments in IT infrastructure and related resources to deploy MCOCentral.

1-888-OhioComp, the Cleveland-based certified managed care organization serving employers and their injured workers throughout Ohio’s 88 counties, has already implemented MCOCentral. 1-888-OhioComp contracts with Ohio’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to provide medical management services to injured workers. Responsible for reporting workers’ compensation claims, medical case management (including reviewing treatment requests and approving treatment decisions), 1-888-OhioComp manages bill review, bill payment and assists employees with their transition back to the workplace.
